How does a hard boiled egg differ from a soft boiled egg?

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a soft boiled egg and a hard boiled egg? For starters, hard boiled eggs are great when added to a salad, deviled, in tuna salad, egg salad, eaten plain and died for Easter. Soft boiled eggs are eaten either in the shell or in an egg cup.

Place eggs in a small pot and cover with water. Use the smallest pot eggs will fit into to prevent them from banging around and cracking in the boiling water.

Bring water to a boil for 15 minutes. Covering the pot will make the water boil faster.

Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pouring out hot water and adding cold water and ice cubes will let the eggs cool faster.
