With a little bit of creativity, cooks can turn ordinary foods into creepy-looking treats that incorporate the visual themes of Halloween. Edible ghosts, pumpkins, mummies and dismembered body parts are just a few ideas. Prepare a variety of spooky Halloween foods to serve at a party or for family dinner and dessert on Halloween night.
Eyeballs
Plain doughnut holes can look like eyeballs if they are dipped in melted white chocolate and decorated with candy and frosting. A chocolate chip pressed into the melted chocolate makes a pupil for the eye. After the white chocolate is hard, complete the bloodshot look with squiggly red lines drawn onto the doughnut with icing.

Toes in a Blanket
Give the classic pigs in a blanket finger food a creepy twist by turning it into toes in a blanket. A strip of tortilla or a strip of a fast-bake dough should cover half of each miniature cocktail weiner. After the dough is cooked, a dab of ketchup or mustard squirted on the top of each wiener makes it look like a toenail.
Pizza Rounds
Cleverly arranged cheese and pizza toppings on English muffins create pizza rounds that look like mummies. Pizzas should contain a spoonful of tomato sauce, two round olive slices toward the top as eyes, and a small piece of bell pepper as the pupil. Strips of mozzarella cheese above and below the eyes look like mummy wrappings. Make at least four per person for the main component of a dinner, or set out a platter for snacking at a party.
