Make A Bacon Sandwich

A close relative to the BLT, a bacon sandwich can be garnished and served for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In just a few simple steps, you can add this mouth-watering sandwich to your list of favorite fast recipes.

Instructions

1. Choose your favorite brown bread. Bacon sandwiches are traditionally served on whole wheat, cracked wheat or rye. However, as long as the slices are thick, any type of bread will do. Toast or grill your bread in butter.

2. Grill or fry 6 pieces of bacon for each sandwich. Make sure that the bacon is well cooked, but not too hard and crispy. You should be able to fold the bacon onto the sandwich. Add salt, pepper and other seasonings to taste.

3. Spread a heaping tablespoon of mayonnaise onto one piece of bread and smother the other piece with ketchup. Another option would be a thick, brown steak sauce.

4. Arrange your bacon onto the sandwich and add any extras. For breakfast, you might consider adding scrambled eggs and sausage. For lunch or dinner, think about beans, lettuce and tomato.
