Make Mulled Cranberry Cider

from Clipart.com

Mulled apple cider is a classic winter beverage. Doing the same to cranberry juice is a delightful alternative. Even better? Mixing the two together! This makes a wonderful party punch for the holidays or a great hot beverage any day of the year. But it's even better when it's cold out.

Choose fresh pressed cider if possible. If you can't find cider, use apple juice. However, it's even better if you can use unfiltered apple juice because it's closer to cider in flavor. You can also try this recipe with just plain cider or plain cranberry juice. For an extra kick, add a dash of rum in each mug.

Instructions

1. Place cranberry juice and apple cider in a medium saucepan.

2. Add spices. Set heat on medium low and let it come to a boil slowly.

3. When it comes to a boil, set the heat on low and let it simmer for an additional five minutes.

4. Ladle cider into mugs. Serves about 6 but this will depend on the size of the mugs.
