Make Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed French toast is a fancy breakfast often found at hotels and bed and breakfasts, but you don't have to travel or go to have it. You can easily make stuffed French toast at home. French toast is a rich and satisfying meal in itself, but the stuffed version makes it extra special.

Instructions

1. Beat the cream cheese and vanilla with an electric mixer medium speed until blended. This will be the filling. Stir in the walnuts and set aside.

2. Set the brioche bread slices on a paper towel or tray, and spread 2 tablespoons of filling on each side. Top each one with a slice of plain brioche to make a sandwich.

3. Beat the eggs, whipping cream, vanilla and cinnamon together to make the batter mixture.

4. Prepare a small frying pan or griddle with oil, and set on high heat for cooking.

5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture to cover completely. Cook on griddle or frying pan until lightly browned on both sides.

6. Transfer to a baking sheet after each sandwich turns a light brown color. Store them in a warm oven until all sandwiches are complete.

7. Heat the preserves and orange juice in a small saucepan to make a sauce.

8. Place two sandwiches on a plate and cover with the sauce. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and finish with a side of whipped cream.
