Make A Pie With An Easybake Oven

Little ones enjoy baking with their Easy-Bake Oven much more than with Mom's real oven. So keep their hands busy by coming up with new treats to bake by light bulb. Although you can't use a regular cake or cookie mix, you can substitute just a few ingredients to come up with your own Easy-Bake Oven pie recipe.

Instructions

Make the Pie Crust

1. Roll out the packaged pie crust on a lightly-floured surface. The pie crust will need to be a little thinner than normal to bake thoroughly.

2. Cut out a piece of pie crust using the Easy-Bake cake tin as a guide. Turn the cake tin upside down and use it like a cookie cutter. If Mom or Dad is helping, cut the pie crust a little larger than the cake tin, using a knife, so you'll have enough crust to make a fluted edge.

3. Place the pie crust piece in the cake tin and press down. Stretch the crust a bit to reach the top of the sides of the pan. Make a fluted edge if you have enough crust overhang.

4. Bake the crust in the Easy-Bake oven until lightly brown, about 10 to 12 minutes. Let the crust cool completely then turn the cake tin over to release the crust. Set the crust aside until the filling is ready.

Prepare Pie Filling

5. Fill the pie crust about 2/3 full with a dollop of instant or packaged pudding.

6. Place the sliced fruit on top of the pudding.

7. Spread whipped cream on the top as you would a meringue.

8. Serve and enjoy. Remember to start making the second crust as soon as possible so you can have more pies.
