Make Easy Nachos

Sour cream is always a nice finish to a delicious plate of nachos.

Nachos are an easy-to-make snack that you can enjoy in just minutes from start to finish. The principle ingredients in this Mexican snack are tortilla chips and shredded cheese. To make your nachos even more flavorful, you can include some diced vegetables and meat. This recipe will feed two or three hungry people, and is the perfect treat for those times when you need to make something simple, yet filling. Feel free to dice and add other vegetables you might have around the house, such as peppers or onions.

Instructions

1. Dice the tomato and the green onion into small chunks.

2. Cut or tear the meat into small sections, so that it can be evenly spread across the nachos.

3. Lay out the chips so that they completely cover a microwavable plate. They might overlap in some areas.

4. Sprinkle two-thirds of the cheese over the top of the chips.

5. Add the diced vegetables on top of the cheese. If you want to include olives in your recipe, add those now too.

6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the vegetables.

7. Put the nachos in the microwave for 1-4 minutes, until the cheese is thoroughly melted.

8. Add a dollop of sour cream and/or guacamole before serving (optional), and serve the nachos while they are still warm.
