Mandarin Orange & Pineapple Salad







Pineapple and mandarin oranges may be enough to satisfy that candy craving.


Whether you're trying to lose weight or add healthier foods into your diet, you may find that it's often difficult to satisfy your sweet tooth. Fortunately, fruits such as pineapple and mandarin oranges are packed with natural sugars. By varying the ingredients you add, you can turn two ordinary fruits into salads designed to satisfy those cravings.


Instructions


Mandarin Orange & Pineapple Salad With Strawberries and Yogurt Topping


1. Pour boiling water into a medium-sized bowl. Immediately empty the packet of orange gelatin into the boiling water and stir until completely dissolved.


2. Add mandarin orange segments and crushed pineapple to the mixture. Mix well. Allow the mixture to thicken.


3. Mix banana yogurt and whipped topping together in a separate bowl. Spread the topping on top of the thickened gelatin.


4. Place strawberry slices on top of the yogurt topping.








5. Sprinkle the almond slices on top.


6. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into 2-inch squares to serve.


Mandarin Orange & Pineapple Salad With Bananas and Sour Cream Topping


7. Pour boiling water into a medium-sized bowl. Immediately empty the lemon gelatin into the boiling water and mix well, stirring until completely dissolved.


8. Add mandarin orange segments and crushed pineapple to the mixture. Mix well. Allow the mixture to thicken.


9. Mix 2 cups of sour cream in with 2 tsp. vanilla and spread it on top of the thick gelatin mixture.


10. Add banana slices to the topping. Sprinkle the topping with toasted flaked coconut.


11. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into 2-inch squares to serve.
