Make Popcorn In A Electric Popcorn Maker

Make Popcorn in a Electric Popcorn Maker

Popcorn is a tasty snack any time of the day. There are many ways to make popcorn, from popping it in a conventional microwave, popping it over the stove and popping corn using an electric popcorn maker. Department stores and various home supply stores sell electric popcorn makers. Electric popcorn makers are manufactured by various companies, such as Waring Pro, which is a popular brand and easy to use. Using an electric popcorn maker can be as easy as plugging it in. However, if you are having difficulty using an electric popcorn maker, there is an easy way to make popcorn just like you get at the movie theater.

Instructions

1. Make sure the electric popcorn maker is unplugged before cleaning the kettle that will house the corn kernels. Most electric popcorn makers include a kettle. The Waring Pro is an electric popcorn maker that includes a kettle that houses the corn kernels and the oil.

2. Clean the kettle lightly with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or dust that has accumulated over time.

3. Preheat the kettle by switching the electric popcorn maker on. Let the kettle preheat for one to two minutes.

4. Open the kettle's lid, and add 1 tbsp. oil. You can use vegetable, corn or peanut oil. When opening the lid, use an oven mitt because the lid may be hot to the touch.

5. Immediately add 1/2 cup of corn kernels into the kettle, and close the lid of the kettle. The corn will start popping in two minutes. When you no longer hear a popping sound, turn the popping switch off.
