Make Sugarfree Fudge

Make Sugar-Free Fudge

Many people enjoy eating a rich and delicious treat known as fudge. This sweet treat is made by cooking chocolate and sugar together, along with a few other ingredients, until you have a creamy mixture. The only problem is a lot of people, for one reason or another, can't consume sugary snacks. Sugar-free fudge isn't time-consuming or hard to make. When finished, you and your family can enjoy eating this delicious dessert without guilt.

Instructions

Make Sugar- =Free Fudge

1. Chop enough walnuts into small pieces on the cutting board to fill a ½ cup and set aside. (Almonds, pecans or sunflower seeds can be used instead of walnuts.) Next, cut up the unsweetened chocolate into small pieces until you have enough for 2 cups.

2. Line a baking pan with some wax paper and then spray with cooking spray. This will help to get the fudge out of the pan more easily when it's finished.

3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk, sugar substitute such as Splenda and the chocolate into the heavy saucepan and set on the stove. Turn the burner to medium heat and stir until the chocolate melts and the fudge mixture starts to boil.

4. Cook the fudge mixture until the candy thermometer reaches about 240 degrees F. and then remove from the stove. Let cool until a temperature of 110 degrees F. has been reached.

5. Add the butter and vanilla to the fudge mixture and start stirring. The mixture will be thin with a shiny look to it. Add the walnuts when the mixture stops being shiny. Once you start stirring, it's important to not stop until the fudge mixture is dull looking and thick. It may take up to 20 minutes until the fudge is thick enough.

6. Dump the fudge into the lined and greased baking pan. Butter a spatula and press the fudge down into the pan. You can use your hands instead of a spatula. Let the fudge cool at room temperature for several hours before cutting up into squares. Enjoy!
