Union Oyster House
Union Oyster House, the oldest continuous service restaurant in the United States, opened its doors in 1826. The restaurant is located on Union Street in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The casual restaurant offers fried clams plates and rolls and includes fried clams in combination fried seafood platters that also feature fish, oysters, scallops, calamari and shrimp. Additional lunch menu items include seafood salad wraps, pan-seared crab cakes, fish chowder and seafood stew. Company, an upscale restaurant that opened in 1978, is located on Boylston Street, near the Boston Public Library. The restaurant offers fried whole-bellied clams appetizers, sandwiches and platters. Additional lunch menu items include toasted goat cheese salad, lobster ravioli, shrimp scampi, jumbo lump crab cake melt and char-broiled hamburgers.
