Make Great Ham Glazes







Pineapple is one of the glazes, including real pineapple, you can use on a ham.


Ham is a popular centerpiece for holiday meals. With this variety of ham glazes, you can have ham for many occasions and not get tired of having the same thing. Most are simple to prepare and have a wide variety of tastes.


Instructions


1. Pineapple glaze: Combine 1/4 tsp. of chili powder with 1/2 cup of pineapple preserves or canned pineapple chopped up in a processor.


2. Apricot glaze: Combine 1/2 cup of apricot jam/preserves with 1 1/2 tsp. of hoisin sauce.


3. Spicy orange glaze: Mix your family's favorite spicy mustard, 2 tbsp., with 1/2 cup of orange marmalade. If you don't have any spicy mustard, you can use honey or regular mustard and add in some red pepper to taste. Start small, a pinch at a time, until you achieve your desired flavor.


4. Sweet and tangy glaze: Take 1/2 cup of jalepeno pepper jelly and stir in 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. of pomegranate juice. You need to stir until it is glaze consistency.


5. Dijon glaze: Mix together 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar, your 3 tbsp. of your favorite dijon mustard, and 1/3 cup of light corn syrup. Make sure you mix well.


6. Sweet citrus glaze: Stir in 1/4 cup of honey and 1/4 cup of brown sugar into 1/4 cup of orange juice. Make sure all the brown sugar is dissolved and there are no lumps.
