Bake Pumpkin Seeds Using Lawry'S Salt

When carving a pumpkin for Halloween or cutting up a fresh pumpkin to use for pumpkin pie, reserve the seeds to make a healthy and tasty snack. Pumpkin seeds can be baked in the oven in less than an hour. Seasoning the seeds prior to baking will add flavor and zest. One seasoning that can be used is Lawry's Seasoning Salt.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Wash the pumpkin seeds in water, removing all the sticky matter. Rub your fingers over the seeds to help loosen the pumpkin residue attached to the seeds.

3. Pat the pumpkin seeds dry in a paper towel or clean dish rag.

4. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick vegetable spray.

5. Spread the pumpkin seeds on the cookie sheet, in one layer.

6. Drizzle olive oil over the seeds and stir. You want just enough oil to coat the seeds. Re-spread the seeds so that they are one layer.

7. Sprinkle Lawrey's Seasoning Salt lightly over the pumpkin seeds.

8. Place the cookie sheet of seeds in the oven on the center rack.

9. Bake the pumpkin seeds at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the seeds every 10 minutes, using a spatula.

10. Remove the pumpkin seeds from the oven when they are golden brown.
