Make A Great Portobello Mushroom Appetizer

If you love mushrooms and/or you’re just looking for a good, fast appetizer to prepare, here’s an easy one to make.

Instructions

1. Dice and chop the garlic and parsley finely. Then cut the tomatoes in quarters.

2. Pour 2 tbs. of oil into the sauté pan and swirl the pan around to evenly distribute the oil across the pan.

3. Turn on the stove top to medium heat and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

4. Toss all the garlic, tomatoes and parsley into the heated pan and sauté together.

5. Add a little soy sauce and sprinkle a pinch of black pepper to taste, and stir everything together.

6. Sauté the ingredients until everything is cooked. This should only take a couple of minutes, but time varies between different stoves and ovens.

7. Rinse the portobello caps and place them on the baking sheet face up.

8. Once the sautéing is done, spoon some of the topping onto the inside of the portobello mushroom cap–as much as you can fit on top of it.

9. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella on top, then place the baking sheet with the caps in the oven.

10. Bake the caps for 7 to 10 minutes or until the mozzarella has melted and the caps appear golden.

11. Remove from the oven and place on a dish. Drizzle some balsamic vinegar on it and serve while still hot. Enjoy!
