Reheat Leftover Fish

Fried fish basket

You had a delicious dinner the night before, but now, the next morning, you have one of the most daunting tasks for any luncher: reheating fish. Here are some tips that may help you get the fish hot without ruining it.

Instructions

1. Fish tends to dry out quickly and become overcooked, so a good rule of thumb is cook it quickly.

2. If your choice of reheating is the oven, pre-heat it to around 320 degrees. Wrap leftover fish in aluminum foil. Leave the fish in the oven for around 15 minutes.

3. To reheat fish on the stove, wrap the fish in baking (not wax) paper and cook it in a skillet over medium heat for five minutes on each side. Use non-stick spray or a bit of water in the bottom of the skillet.

4. Can you reheat fish in the microwave? Yes, but it's a gamble. Again, quickness is the key. Put a little butter on the top of the fish filet, or reheat it in a shallow container with a little sauce or water in the bottom to prevent the fish from becoming tough.

5. Eating your leftover fish cold is always an option (as long as it was cooked properly the day before). Try cutting the fish in slices over salad greens with a nice dressing, or making a mayonnaise-based salad with celery.
