Make Your Own Wine Tags

Wine glasses without tags.

Wine tags are like keychains for glasses that make it easy for people to identify their glass at a large function, party or event. You don't have to worry about expensive wine going to waste or extra dishes to wash by simply having your guests slip these classy wine tags on their glasses.

Once you learn the basics of making your own wine tags, use your imagination to create different styles and varieties for all your events.

Instructions

1. Create an 8.5-inch by 11-inch document in your computer design program or word processing software and draw 2-inch circles for 12 wine glass tags.

2. Place decorative frames or borders within the circles, being careful not to place them too close to the edge.

3. Type each guest's name inside the frame of a tag, leaving enough room near the top of the circle to allow for a 1/8-inch hole. For an elegant effect, choose a script font such as Edwardian Script. For a casual effect choose a font such as Arial or Times New Roman.

4. Print the document on white card stock.

5. Punch the circles out using the 2-inch circle punch. After each punched row, trim the circle remnants off so it is easy to access the next row.

6. Trim the string or ribbon, if not using a ball chain keychain, to 4 inches long.

7. Punch a 1/8-inch hole in the top center of each circle and thread the keychain, string, or ribbon through. Attach to the stem of a wine glass.
