Buy Organic Red Wine

Organic red wine is produced using farming methods that do not result in negative effects on the environment. Natural plants and herbs are used in place of pesticides. Other environmentally friendly methods such as using collected rainwater to irrigate the vines and using compost piles to create nutrient-rich dirt also are used.

Instructions

1. Read the label. If a bottle of red wine does not bear the certified organic label you can't be positive that it is organic. To be considered certified organic wine, the winery cannot use harmful pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.

2. Buy Parducci wines, which are not only certified organic, but also are carbon neutral. The energy used to produce the wine is created through the use of solar panels and other earth-friendly energy-producing methods.

3. Try Caylus Vin de Pays wines, which are produced from organic grapes and vegan. No animal by-products are used in the farming or production of their wines.

4. Buy La Marouette Cabernet Sauvignon. This simple, easy-to-drink Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100 percent organic grapes and also is vegan.

5. Purchase a bottle of Domaines de Cedres Syrah. This light-bodied red is vegan and produced through biodynamics, considered the top echelon of organic farming.

6. Choose a bottle of Frey Winery's Zinfandel. This wine if full of lush fruit flavors with hints of pepper and has no added sulfites.
