Make A Beautiful 4th Of July Gelatin Salad

Canned, sweetened blueberries give the blue layer its color and flavor.

The red, white and blue of this cool and refreshing fruity gelatin salad is perfect for any Fourth of July celebration!

Instructions

1. Dissolve 1 package raspberry Jell-o in 1 cup of hot water. Add 1 cup cold water and stir. Pour the gelatin into a 7-by-10-inch glass pan. Refrigerate until set.

2. Dissolve the plain gelatin in 1/2 cup of water. Heat the half-and-half and sugar together in a small pan, but do not allow it to boil. Mix the cream mixture into the gelatin water. Add vanilla to the cheese, stirring until well blended. Allow to cool completely, then pour over the first layer. Refrigerate until set.

3. Dissolve the remaining box of Jell-o in 1 cup of hot water. Add the blueberries with juice and blend until uniform. Allow it to cool, then pour over the second layer. Refrigerate until set.

4. Cut into squares and top each serving with or whipped cream or whipped topping.
