Wheat/Glutenfree Party Foods

Wheat can be a problem for some.

You can find and prepare a variety of wheat- and gluten-free party foods more easily than you might think. You will find that most health food stores offer a large selection of already prepared wheat- and gluten-free snack options as well as ingredients for you to make your own. In addition, many large corporate grocery stores provide at least a small selection of wheat- and gluten-free foods.

Veggie Trays With Dip

Raw veggies have no wheat or gluten.

Raw vegetable trays have no wheat or gluten. You can include peppers, carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, lettuce and radishes. Feel free to add other veggies to your liking. The tricky part is finding wheat- and gluten-free dips to go along with the veggies. Marzetti offers an extensive list of wheat- and gluten-free salad dressings that serve as excellent dips for your veggie tray.

Fruit and Nut Mixes

Fruit and nut mixtures make great gluten-free party foods.

You can offer your party guests delicious sweet and salty gluten-free snacks with a combination of dried fruits and nuts. For nuts, choose from almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, walnuts, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, coconuts and cashews. For fruit, choose from a wide selection of dried fruits including raisins, berries, apples, apricots and bananas. Mix the nuts and dried fruit together in a bowl for a tasty treat.

Macaroons

Macaroons are tasty treats.

Coconut macaroons make an excellent dessert for wheat- and gluten-free parties. You can buy prepared macaroons online and in many stores. Be sure to check the ingredients list for wheat and gluten items. To make your own, you can use a combination of egg whites, agave nectar, vanilla extract, sea salt and shredded coconut. Follow a recipe you enjoy, or experiment and make up your own.
