Bake Sweet Potato Wedges

Sweet potato wedges bake for about half an hour.

Sweet potatoes are a nutritious choice among vegetables, providing nutrients including vitamins A and C. By itself, a sweet potato is fat-free and cholesterol-free, and if eaten with its skin, it provides more fiber than oatmeal. One easy way to prepare sweet potatoes is to cut them in wedges and bake them, just as you might with Idaho potatoes.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cut the sweet potato in half down the center as you would if cutting potatoes for fries. This is a difficult process because the sweet potatoes are hard and you need a very sharp knife to cut through them. Continue cutting lengthwise to create wedges.

3. Place the sweet potatoes on a cookie sheet. Using a spray butter or oil to douse each wedge thoroughly.

4. Mix one tablespoon of cinnamon and one tablespoon of sugar in a small mixing bowl.

5. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture over the sweet potato wedges.

6. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
