Make Worms 'N Dirt

Worms 'n Dirt is a great treat for Halloween parties or just a fun and tasty after-school snack. Although kids enjoy getting their own personal cups, you can also use large glass baking dishes to better serve a big group. And don't forget that gummy insects come in all varieties these days, so you can add other creepy crawlers to the mix.

Instructions

1. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to the directions on the box. Pour it into clear cups and let it set. You want the pudding to cool and start to solidify, but it does not have to be fully chilled at this point - you'll need to be able to push the gummy worms into the pudding without making a mess.

2. Place the gummy worms in the pudding. Some can be buried in the center of the pudding while others can be partially showing.

3. Top the pudding with Oreo cookie crumbs to create the "dirt." You can buy Oreo baking crumbs in most supermarkets or you can crush the sandwich cookies yourself.

4. Chill the desserts for a few hours before serving. Place one or two worms on top of the crumbs for added decoration.
