Make A Turkey Burger Sandwich







If you are looking for a lighter version of hamburgers, consider grilling a turkey burger. It has a slightly different texture than a beef burger and requires some extra preparation to make it tasty. But you can make a delicious sandwich and feel less guilt eating it.


Instructions


1. In a bowl, add a well-beaten egg to the ground turkey. Ground turkey tends to be drier than ground beef, so the egg helps to hold the burger patties together.


2. Pour in some breadcrumbs. To add flavor to the turkey burger, you can use flavored breadcrumbs or croutons. Add 1/4 tsp. each of salt and pepper.








3. Season the ground turkey. Add a 1/4 tsp. each of marjoram, sage and minced garlic. You also can opt to use rosemary or any other seasoning you enjoy.


4. Mix the ingredients together and shape the ground turkey into patties.


5. Cook the turkey burger until it reaches an internal temperature of 170 degrees Fahrenheit. You can grill it or cook it in a skillet. Whichever way you cook the turkey burger, remember to give the pan or grill a light coating of non-stick spray.


6. Assemble the sandwiches. Place the patty on the bun. Add vegetables, such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and coleslaw and top with mustard or catsup.
