Make Delicious Juice Drinks







Use a variety of glassware to serve juice drinks.


Incorporating fruit into your daily diet is important for a healthy, balanced lifestyle. One way is to make delicious fruit drinks for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Juice drinks make a healthy alternative to soda for any party, and guests will enjoy drinking a variety of concoctions. Get creative and try different blends. Whether you use a juicer, food processor or simple blender, juice drinks do not require much preparation time or cleanup.


Instructions


Fruit Shakes


1. Top your shake with a wafer cookie.


Choose one fruit, like a type of berry, banana or orange. Cut the fruit into small pieces and puree in a blender.


2. Blend in sherbet, frozen yogurt or low-fat ice cream a little at a time until you reach desired consistency.


3. Pour into a drinking glass and serve.


Juice Spritzers


4. Juice spritzers cool you down.


Choose a fruit juice, such as orange, pineapple, cranberry, pomegranate or grape.


5. Mix with seltzer water. Plain will suffice, but you can also choose a flavored seltzer like lime for an extra flavor boost.


6. Cut up fruit or place berries in the spritzer for a tasty decoration.


7. Get creative by making juice ice cubes. Place berries and water or frozen juice in ice cube trays and add to individual drinks.


Fruit Punch








8. Marinating fruit in punch for a few hours adds bold flavor.


Choose a fruit juice or drink, such as cranberry juice cocktail, fruit punch, lemonade, grape juice or mango nectar.


9. Mix a carbonated beverage, such as flavored seltzer, lemon-lime soda or ginger ale, along with fruit juice in a punch bowl or pitcher.


10. Cut round slices of oranges, grapefruits, kiwi and star fruit and add them to the bowl or pitcher. Add whole grapes and berries as well.


11. Fill individual glasses with ice cubes and pour the punch. Add a straw and decorative umbrella for a finishing touch.


Juicy Smoothies


12. Fruit smoothies are packed full of antioxidants and vitamins.


Choose a fruit mixture as your starting point. Tasty fruit combinations include strawberry-banana, blueberry-raspberry, pear-grape and orange-pineapple. Puree the fruit in blender.


13. Add almond, soy or low-fat milk and orange juice.


14. Add ice one cube at a time until you reach desired thickness.


15. Add honey or vanilla extract if desired.


Alcoholic Fruit Cocktails
