Make Indian Tacos

Make Indian Tacos

This is a delicious, easy Indian Taco Recipe. Just like what you'd find at the fair.

Instructions

1. These Indian Tacos are fast and easy to make! Kids love them!

2. Grease cookie sheet, place frozen rolls on it and let rise until almost doubled in size.

In a skillet over medium high heat brown ground beef and cook until done. Drain fat and add taco seasoning, pinto beans and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for at least 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Most of the liquid should be evaporated.

Heat 2" of cooking oil in cast iron skillet or frying pan. When oil is hot stretch dough out (like a plate) and pop a little hole in the center with a fork. This will help the dough cook in the center. Fry dough until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.

3. Top fried Indian bread with a layer of meat/bean mixture, lettuce, tomato, cheese and onion if desired. This Indian Taco should be flat.

4. Garnish if desired with:

* Chopped green onions

* Sliced black olives

* Sour cream

* Salsa

* Taco sauce or Tabasco

* Chopped green chilies

* Nacho rings
