Cook Threecheese Fondue

Three-cheese fondue is a popular party dish.

Fondue is a Swiss specialty that has become well-known around the world. Cooking a three-cheese fondue is a simple, affordable process that yields great results. Whether serving it at your next party or to your family, fondue is a fun way to enhance any meal. This recipe serves between four and six, so if you are preparing it for more people, double the recipe.

Instructions

1. Simmer 1 cup of Sauvignon Blanc in a medium saucepan on low heat. Do not boil, as this will severely affect the taste of the wine.

2. Melt 1/2 tablespoon of butter in the microwave. Add 1 tbsp. of flour to the melted butter and stir well.

3. Add the butter and flour mixture to the simmered wine. Keep heat on low. Stir in 1 tsp. of mixed garlic.

4. Stir in the shredded cheese--do it slowly and stir constantly to avoid burning. You can increase the heat, but make sure the mixture does not burn. If you wish, sprinkle black pepper into the mixture after you've added the shredded cheese.

5. Take the saucepan off of the burner and immediately add the fondue to your fondue pot. Keep the fondue pot on the lowest possible heat setting.

6. Dip pieces of French baguette and vegetables into the fondue with the sticks that came with your pot.
