Make A Lowcarb Milkshake

Strawberries, mangos or bananas are fruit choices to consider for your milkshake.

A milkshake is something that is not expected to appear on the dieter's menu. Adapting the recipe to a low-carb variety is an option for the dieter or someone who is practicing a healthier lifestyle. A low-carb recipe contains a lower percentage of carbohydrates. Low-carb is defined as 25 to 39 percent of the nutrients coming from carbohydrates. A very low-carb diet has a 0 to 24 percent carbohydrate ratio, according to Every Diet.

Instructions

1. Gather all of the ingredients for the milkshake. Wash the fruit. For mangoes, peaches or bananas, peel the fruit. Cut the fruit into quarters.

2. Place all of the ingredients into the blender. With the top of the blender in place, turn the blender on. Whirl the ingredients until the milkshake is smooth. Remove the blender top and stir the mixture. Reposition the top and blend once more for a few seconds.

3. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
