Onion & Wine Sauce

Use onion and wine sauce on meat or veggies.

Some of the best tasting foods are that way because of their sauces. The French are known for their delicious sauces that transform a plain piece of meat into a delectable, tasty dish. Onion and wine together make for a versatile sauce that you can pair with chicken, beef, sausage or vegetables. So, whatever you're cooking tonight, make it a little more exciting with a savory onion and wine sauce.

Instructions

1. Chop or slice the onions on the cutting board to the desired thickness. Melt the butter in a sauce pan on low heat. When the butter is completely melted, add the onions. Saute the onion until it's soft and slightly brown.

2. Add the garlic. Saute the onions and garlic together for a few minutes. Depending on the meat you are cooking, you can add the beef or chicken stock to the onions and garlic. Continue to cook on a low flame for a few minutes.

3. Pour the wine and cream into the mixture and allow it to thicken. Once it has reached the desired thickness, pour it on the meat or vegetables.
