Find Soy Not Made With Gmo

If you are health conscious or concerned about the environment, you may want to avoid soy products that contain GMOs. GMO stands for genetically modified organisms, and refers to any food or living creature that has had its natural genetic structure altered by scientists. While studies have shown that GMO foods are safe, some people are concerned that GMO foods are unnatural and might have ill effects on human health or the environment. If you are looking to avoid GMO-soy, there are a few things to keep an eye out for.

Instructions

1. Review the entire package and look for a label that reads "Non-GMO".

2. Look at the package for a label that reads "USDA Organic". In addition to confirming the organic status of the soy, this labeling also indicates that the product contains no GMOs.

3. Contact the manufacturer if you doubt the non-GMO status of a soy-based product. There will always be contact information on the packaging, including at least one of the following: company address, phone number, and website.
