List Of Party Snacks

People often serve snacks at a party.

A good hostess knows that feeding her guests is one of the most important aspects of entertaining. Nothing says hospitality like food. Not all parties lend themselves to a sit-down dinner, however. When that's the case, serving a wide array of tasty party snacks is the way to go.

Popcorn

Popcorn is quick and easy to fix, and offers a wide array of options. Served plain, or with butter and salt, popcorn can be made in large quantities that guests can help themselves to. Setting out a variety of popcorn seasonings -- ranch, cheddar, jalapeno and apple cinnamon, to name a few -- that party-goers can shake onto their popcorn adds a new twist to an old favorite.

Cheese Ball and Crackers

Cheese balls are convenient party snacks that can be made ahead of time and set out just before the event. Served with a variety of snack crackers, cheese balls offer versatility. Cheese balls made with various types of cheese and rolled in nuts, bread crumbs, crunchy onions or herbs and seasonings make a treat that guests can easily serve themselves.

Spinach Dip and Hawaiian Rolls

While many people don't care for spinach, almost everyone loves spinach dip, especially when it's served on sweet Hawaiian rolls. Recipes for this dip are easily found online, in cookbooks and on vegetable seasoning packets used to flavor the dip. Served in a bread or regular bowl next to a plate piled high with Hawaiian rolls, spinach dip makes a tangy treat.

Nachos and Dip

Lots of people enjoy the crunch or tortilla chips served with a spicy, creamy dip. Combining processed cheese chunks with salsa, microwaving and stirring the mixture into a thick, rich dipping sauce for chips is a quick snack that can be prepared over and over during the party, each time the bowl is emptied.

Deviled Eggs

Deviled eggs are an old standby that have been around for years. In spite of that, they never fail to please and are often requested at parties and picnics. Made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise and relish, deviled eggs can be prepared the day before and refrigerated until the party. Numerous variations on the standard recipe can be found to jazz up the deviled egg.

Meatballs

Many hostesses like to serve meatballs because they're easy to make, hearty and filling. Making homemade meatballs from ground beef, turkey or chicken or buying pre-made meatballs are both options. Once the meatballs are made, they can be covered in a sauce such as barbecue, honey mustard, sweet and sour or numerous others.
