Items To Bring To A Morning Pot Luck

Bring a breakfast dish to a morning potluck.

A potluck is a meal where each guest brings a dish to share with all the other guests. Not only does it save time and money for the host of the meal, but it also allows for a wider range of foods. If you have been invited to a morning potluck, bring a breakfast dish or beverage. Also, dishes served cold are easier since you wont need to heat them once you get there.

Breakfast Sandwiches

Breakfast sandwiches can be served as a main dish for your breakfast potluck. To prepare them, toast English muffins and put an individual fried egg on each, along with a slice of cheese. You can also put bacon and/or ham on some of the sandwiches, just bear in mind that not everyone likes or eats pork or other meats.

Deviled Eggs

Deviled eggs are a convenient dish to bring to a morning potluck. Not only are they an easy-to-eat finger food, but they are also served cold, so you wont need to heat them before serving them. To make deviled eggs, cut hard boiled eggs in half, remove the cooked yolks, mash the cooked yolks up in a bowl and mix in a generous amount of mayonnaise. Then, put the mayonnaise mixture in a zip-lock bag, cut the tip of the bag off and pipe the mixture back into the hollow sections of the egg whites. Finish by sprinkling a small amount of paprika on top of each egg.

Homemade Muffins

Homemade muffins are always a crowd pleaser, perfectly suited for a morning potluck. Flavor ideas include bran, walnut, raisin, banana, carrot, cranberry, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, apple, chocolate and peanut butter.

Beverages

No breakfast potluck is complete without a variety of beverages. Examples include gourmet coffees, specialty teas, fruit smoothies, freshly squeezed juices and flavored water. Depending on where the potluck is being held and who will be there, you may even want to bring a jug of Mimosa, which is often referred to as a breakfast cocktail. Mimosas are made with equal parts of champagne and orange juice.
