Squeeze Pomegranate Juice

Pomegranate juice is loaded with vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A and E. The juice also has a large amount of antioxidants, which may help prevent heart disease. Despite the health benefits, the big problem with pomegranate juice is that it is expensive to purchase and often times it is mixed with another juice. If you are looking for some healthy pomegranate juice your best bet may just be to make it yourself.

Instructions

1. Cut a pomegranate into four different sections. Pull the skin back to reveal the dark red seeds, juice and pulp.

2. Fill a bowl up with cold water. Place the four cut sections of the pomegranate into the water. While the pomegranate sections are under water scrape the seeds out with your fingers. Remove the skin.

3. Drain the water away from the pomegranate seeds with a strainer

4. Place the pomegranate seeds and pulp into a blender and pulse it until the contents are liquefied. The blended liquid will look like a strawberry shake.

5. Hold the strainer over a bowl and pour the contents of the blender through the strainer. The juice will run through, leaving the hard remnants of the seeds. Discard the seeds and pulp and the pomegranate juice will be ready to drink. Each pomegranate will yield a little less than a cup of juice.
