Cook Pork For Egg Rolls

If you like Chinese food, no doubt egg rolls are on the top of your list. Pork is a common ingredient in many egg roll recipes. Although there is some controversy over the use of pork, taking a few precautions can make pork a safe ingredient to use in egg rolls.

Instructions

1. Turn on the stove to medium high heat and heat the pan.

2. Peel and slice a piece of lemongrass while the pan is heating up. Using lemongrass will give the filling a lot more flavor.

3. Add about 1 tbs. of oil to the pan once it's hot.

4. Put 1/2 lb. of ground pork in the hot oil and cook it thoroughly. Add about 1/8 tsp. of crushed garlic before the pork is completely cooked. Although the parasite in pork that causes trichinosis is not very common anymore, it's important to cook pork properly to eliminate bacteria that tend to live on the surface of a cut of pork.

5. Add any vegetables you want to use in your recipe, including the lemongrass, and stir-fry for about 3 or 4 more minutes.
