Decorate Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Everyone loves chocolate covered strawberries; however, with a bit of imagination you can get your guests mouths watering while making a great impression. While many choose to simply dip and dry their chocolate covered strawberries, a few ideas can help you decorate and transform your desserts into works of art.

Instructions

1. Use an ice cube tray to hold your dipped strawberries as they dry or as you add decorations. Dip your strawberry in melted chocolate and then shake off any extra chocolate. Place the strawberry leaves down in an ice tray, helping to keep all sides of the strawberry smooth as the chocolate dries and offering a stable surface as you decorate.

2. Double dip your strawberries in both white and dark chocolate, a simple way to decorate your treats. Dip the strawberries in your chosen base chocolate and allow them to dry completely. You can then re-dip the tip in the other chocolate or even add swirls with a paintbrush.

3. Create tuxedo strawberries using your double dip method. Dip the strawberries in white chocolate first, and once dry, dip the side of the strawberry into dark chocolate. Dip to create a white chocolate "V" shape on one side of the berry, like a tuxedo. You can then use a paint brush to draw a bow tie and buttons on the white "V" using dark chocolate.

4. Melt several batches of white chocolate and add food coloring to decorate your strawberries in style. You can then dip your berries in one or more colors or even use a paintbrush to draw and customize your chocolate strawberries. Colored white chocolate looks fantastic painted on both dark and white chocolate.

5. Decorate your chocolate covered strawberries with other candies, pressing Valentine's Day candy hearts, sprinkles or even gummy bears into the wet chocolate.
