Do The Jamaican Twist

Sink your next umbrella into a Jamaican classic.

You may think the Jamaican Twist is some sort of dance, but it's really the name of a popular Caribbean cocktail that may or may not help you to perform any real dance you know. Jamaican rum plays a central role in dozens of easy-to-make drink recipes, typically exhibiting a fruity island flavor and a smooth rum kick. You'll need to invest in three types of liquor for this one as well as some pineapple juice so you can pretend you're being healthy.

Instructions

1. Fill your shaker about two-thirds high with ice cubes.

2. Pour 2 ozs. coconut rum over the ice, slightly more than a traditional shot of 1.5 ozs.

3. Add 3/4 oz. of Midori melon liqueur to the shaker.

4. Add 3/4 oz. of banana cream liqueur.

5. Place your lid on the shaker and rigorously shake for at least five seconds to fully chill the liquor.

6. Remove the lid from the shaker and pour the liquor and cubes into a drinking glass.

7. Add as much pineapple juice as it takes to make your Jamaican Twist as tropical as you want it to taste.
