Improved communication through the Internet is not limited to social networking. It also applies to business communication. Services such as eFax allow you to send and receive faxes without a telephone line or fax machine. The entire transmission takes place in your email account. Sending a fax through eFax is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.
Instructions
1. Log in to the email account you used to sign up for eFax. Click New Message or Compose.
2. Type the fax number, including 1 and the area code, that you want to send a fax to in the Recipient or To box. Do not include dashes or spaces in the number. Type @efaxsend.com after the number.
3. Type My First Fax with eFax in the subject line. Compose the message you want to include as the fax cover letter within the email message box.
4. Click Attach and locate the file you want to fax. EFax supports 56 file formats, including .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf, .bmp and .jpg. Click Send to send your eFax. You'll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes.
Tips Warnings
You can also send international faxes using eFax. To send an international fax, type the complete international telephone number, including the country code. Do not include the U,S, country code at the beginning (1).
