Kids usually enjoy a good laugh, especially on a day that is already full of celebration, such as a birthday. One way to make your child's birthday extraordinarily humorous is to give her a few homemade gag gifts that will make both her and her guests crack up with delight.
Salt Dough Poop
Many children think that body functions are hilarious, and they will appreciate gag gifts that reflect that. Make faux poop from salt dough that will both gross out and crack up party guests. To make fake poop, combine 2 c. flour, 1 c. salt and 1 c. water in a bowl. Mix well, and separate the dough into four pieces. Roll out each piece into tapered log shapes, and allow to dry. As they dry, they will split and crack. Paint all of the logs with brown acrylic paint, and allow them to dry before setting them out.

Children will be amused when you give them a gag award that honors something they will not think is honorable. For example, give the birthday boy an award for having the stinkiest feet on Earth or an award for having the loudest belches.
