Christmas string lights can also be hung from trees in your yard.
Christmas decorations are a significant part of every holiday season. Christmas string lights are strung across the roof of your house in participation of the holiday season. String lights are attached to your roof using S-clips, plastic hooks that are nailed into your roof. The string light is placed on the hook to secure them to the roof. String lights can be plugged into each other to extend the length to reach around the exterior of your house.
Instructions
1. Make sure that all the bulbs on your string lights are in working order. Replace any burnt out bulbs by pulling the bulb from the socket and inserting a replacement bulb.
2. Install S-clips around the exterior of your house. Place a ladder against your house to reach up to the roof. Use a hammer and a nail to attach the string lights to your roof. Starting at one corner of your roof, place an S-clip against the edge of your roof and hammer a nail through the hole of the S-clip. Install an S-clip every 12 inches across the roof of your house. All in one clips can be used as well. All in one clips can be slipped on the shingles or gutter of your roof or nailed.
3. Connect an extension cord to the plug of the string lights. Hang the string lights on the S-clips along the edge of the roof. Connect another set of string lights to the first set by plugging them together to extend the lights across the length of your roof.
4. Hang a set of string lights on any trees or bushes throughout your yard. Plug an extension cord into the set of string lights. Use a ladder to reach high up on the tree. Lay the light string across the branches to illuminate your yard for the Christmas season.
